Put it in safe mode to run a virus scan! Some of this junk out there Will fry everything! if not in safe mode! Good Luck

Safe mode unlock

Turn on and use safe mode
Safe mode allows you to turn on the device with third-party apps disabled. Then you can easily uninstall apps that may be causing a conflict or software problem.

Turn the device off.
Press and hold the Power key.
When Samsung appears on the screen, release the Power key.
Immediately after releasing the Power key, press and hold the Volume down key.
Continue to hold the Volume down key until the device finishes restarting.
Release the Volume down key when you see Safe Mode on the device.
Uninstall apps that are causing a problem.

Turn off safe mode
Press and hold the Power key.
Tap Restart.
The devices restarts in normal mode.

How do you turn the safe mode off

Judy, Try the following steps to turn off safe mode, Restart your device by holding the power button, then tap Power off. Power the device on. You should now be out of safe mode. If this does not work, check the attached links,instruction and guides, Good luck

Try running the phone in safe mode. To do this. Press power button then when power down appears. Long press power down option. It will ask if you want to boot into safe mode. Select ok the it will reboot in safe mode. Use the phone in safe mode for 24 he's to see how it works. If it works better, then there is a third party app you installed on the phone that I'd causing freezing.

Boot up to avast rescue cd from cd/dvd device. Scan all drives and quarantine all suspecious files.

Moto x troubleshooting

Willie-

Start to power your phone down. Long press the Power Down option and then select OK to Reboot into Safe Mode. Use the phone in Safe mode. If it doesn't cause the dialler issue to be resolved. You may need to do a Factory Data Reset.
