Dryer begins to spin on any setting and then, after hitting start, it will spin for a few seconds and shut off. I check for lint backing up due to roof vent..OK. Removed door and drum, to check rollers, one of the four rollers not rolling smoothly..SUSPECT. While I had it apart I checked the motor to free wheel, with belt off. I hear a small click on every revolution. Here's the question, how can I test if motor is good before re-assembly...is there a way to test run it by bypassing door switch?

it sounds like your heating element is gone bad. there is no heat if they burn out or get corroded
SOURCE: Dryer won't run. Belts fine. Drum spins freely.
Hi,
A dryer may not start for many reasons...
This tip that I wrote will help you to figure out what is happening...

Your motor has gone bad. Think of the motor as a starter in a car. When you turn the key (press the start button) power is applied to the starter, to be specific, the stator also called the start winding, same as the dryer. Then the rotor takes over and the stator drops off. With your machine the rotor isn't engaging and the stator is taking the load and shutting down.

OK, you will need to check the blower and the motor or any blockage. You have have an article of clothing hung in the blower or a dryer sheet on the motor etc... The best way to test the drum, blower and motor is to remove the belt and spin each one individually. Post back the results. I also have the service manual for that unit if you should need it.
