SOURCE: replacing Remington Electric chain saw blade

Where the bar meets the body of the saw there is an adjustment lug that will either push the bar outward tightening the chain or may be retracted allowing slack in the chain. When backed off (loosened) sufficiently, the chain may be removed for replacement. In order to use this feature, however, there are two bolts that secure the bar to the body that must be loosened prior to any adjustment and tightened bach up after making adjustments to the chain. The above will be enough to remove and replae the chain. If you are taking off the bar (that the chain runs on), you will need to remove the two bolts that were just loosened for the chain adjustment (above).

SOURCE: I need replacement brushes for the electric motor

With a little work on your part (the correct model number) you can find an IPL here:
Remington.com
http://www.desaparts.com/index.htm
The 3 models I looked at for brush assemblies all said NLA. RemingtonPower is no longer producing anything. Replacement parts are limited to what is on hand and it appears have been exhausted. We are not affiliated with them in any way, and had nothing to do with their decision to end production. We like you are limited to an on line search for any parts.
If you decide to replace this I suggest you spend a bit more and purchase a name brand (McCulloch/Poulan, 8 electric models, some at Lowes). These companies are owned by Husqvarna and I expect all to continue providing great customer service for many years to come. HTH

BROKEN PLATE, BEARING

Remington saw is out of business. Look online for any dealers selling parts for these saws. Motor brushes are especially hard to track down and prone to break. Hope this helps!

I have a 16 inch chain saw and want to buy a new chain saw blade does anyone know what other manufacturer's blade will fit

Oregon mfg. makes a full line of replacement chains and bars (blade). Check with home centers, hardware stores, and saw dealers. Bring full details of the saw with you, or the saw itself. Good luck!

Are you aware RemingtonPower is no longer in production? Replacement parts are becoming difficult to find.
