Check Heating elements if ok check the in line fuse that go to drying element and if it open replace it and clean filter and check pipe that blow out side make sure it not stop up because if in line fuse is open stop up filter and pipe that blow air out side will cause the heating element in fuse to open up. And check for lose wire going to element to.

On your dryer the common problems found is either you lost some of your electrical power (check your fuse box) or you need a new heater #131475300 about $100 for the part.

SOURCE: Dryer won't spin on my kenmore stacked model 417.90812991

This is the 2nd time I have this problem.
IF you look thry the drum to the back you should see 3 screw heads. Mine has one screw still in the hole and 2 empty holes.
This requires the drum to be removed (like take the drier apart). Behind the drum is Asmbly-shaft (ball hitch) (item 32 in the parts list). This what the 3 screws screw into.
I spent 2 days trying to put the screws in without removing the drum not possible (no way to hold the drum in place)
The first time I had to replace the drum because it wore the rim through.
I have to get 3 new screws and some thread locker.
I recommend that you check the screws every month, Use a long phillips screw drive

SOURCE: Kenmore Washer/Dryer Stack -- Need to replace Washer

first of all. comming from a Sears Technician.. (don't yell) -- the delivery drivers only know about delivering stuff. they dont know too much,
if the two are the same size they can be stacked.
sometimes have to rig something up
and yes, for that model the top is removed, clips go on the rear and screwed at the front.
in some areas it is sold seperatly as a stacking kit

No heat in my stack-pak kenmore dryer. The element is ok and there are no broken cables/wires. 220 does come in to the unit and show up at the componets.

There is a thermal relay switch that is blown. Replace it.
Model number please and I will give you the part number.

Want to stack my Kenmore HE4 Dryer on top of my Kenmore HE3t W/M

When you originally ordered the dryer, it should've come with a stacking kit that is compatible with the HE 3T or HE 4T washer. It is basically a foam piece that goes on each side of the washer, and then the dryer is connected to it from the side. If you do not have this piece, it should be available to order if you visit http://www.searspartsdirect.com Just enter the model number from your dryer (inside the door frame) and it should pull up a parts list. Or just try searching for a stacking kit for Kenmore dryer. Hope this helps.
