SOURCE: toner problems

A couple of suggestions. 1. make sure there is not any plastic shipping tabs that need to be removed from the cartridge. 2. try reseating the cartridge. 3. Try replacing that cyan cartridge. It may be defective. Also make sure you use Minolta brand toners!

SOURCE: Yellow toner empty

You will need to use the menu on the printer itself to change a setting Press "Menu Select" button to get the menu function Use the right arrow twice to select "Engine", then press the down arrow to the "Replace Toner" menu Press the right arrow for the "Toner Empty" menu Press the down arrow to get the Toner Empty settings Press the right arrow to change the Toner Empty setting to "Continue" Press the "Menu Select" button to confirm the setting. You should be able to print, you just won't have any yellow toner. When you get your toner cartridge, follow these instructions to reset the 'Toner Empty' setting to Stop so you will know when a toner is out.

SOURCE: Minolta 2300DL Magicolor printer

EAch cartridge has a small ( about 1/4 inch square) stainless steel color metal tab at the end of the cartridge opposite the refill cap end. The surface of this little tab is visible when the cartridge is "low" on toner and this causes the machine to give the message to change the cartridge. As the cartridge gets older I've noticed that this tab moves to the exposed position more readily, which causes the message to appear. If you google how to reset the position of this tab, then the message will not appear. EVerytime I refill the toner of a cartridge I check to make sure to reset the position of this little metal tab.
It is difficult to describe how to reset the position of the tab. You have to stick a small regular screw driver into the slot below where the metal tab appears and find the lever which can be pushed to reset the position of the tab. You can likely find photos of this procedure on google.

SOURCE: Toner Not Installed - After replace black

This is actually a desigbn fault on the magicolor printers. Underneath the toner rack is the 3 pin chip reader - normally white and plastic with 3 metal contacts sticking out.

it is at the bottom of the printer so very often toner drops onto it and the sensors dont work, it also takes a bit of a beating as the cartridges rotate. Its very easy to replace - but you need the part,

Minolta should have put it at the top rather than the bottow where it gets covered in dust.

these guys helped me a lot

Hello. I am getting a message that my yellow toner cartridge is empty and the printer (Konica Minolta 2300W)refuses to print out anything, even though I got it into the B/W mode. The complete message...

It won't print anything if one cartridge is empty, even black when the colour is empty. Are you using new or refilled cartridges? The cartridge has a chip on top that counts your number of prints, so it could feel full, but has reached it's end counter. Try another cartridge. That should solve your problem

Yellow deposit

Remove the Yellow Drum unit, Check the drum for any toner. The drums should be clean and I believe a Green color. If you see any toner on the yellow unit replace the unit. Some models have a charge cleaner built into the image units, if that is the case with yours you will see a light blue knob on the front of the unit. Pull this knob in and out about 5 times to clean the units charger this may correct the problem without replacing the yellow image unit.

We need to replace the drum unit on a Minolta Di3510 and were told that when you replace the drum unit you also need to replace the developer. Where and how is the developer replaced on this unit.

Not familiar with your model.... but...
When you install the toner cartridge, the toner is routed into a developer unit. this unit has "developer" in it that mixes with the toner. Generally you purchase the developer, remove the developer unit, remove the top cover of the unit, empty the contents of the unit. add the new deveoper to the unit, replace the cover, install the toner cartridge. a lot of times this requires going into service mode to reset the developer count and run a conditioning mode. Not sure if this is any help but here you go.

Yellow toner will not print

If you let the yellow toner get to the point where the toner cartridge was totally empty, there is one thing you can try which may help. From the "menu", select "maintenance", then go to "clean developer" and choose the yellow. The machine will then churn for a few minutes. What happens is there is a tube that moves the toner from the toner cartridge down to the developer unit ( which is behind the imaging drum). If the toner was allowed to totally run out, there is an area of the tube which may have little or no toner in it. Each time you print, there is a spring auger within the tube that draws the toner to the developer. By running the "clean Developer" it turns the auger and re primes the tube.

If this does not fix the issue, and you have replaced the imaging unit, then the yellow developer is defective and would need to be replaced. This involves quite a bit of work and is not considered user replaceable.

Toner showing empty

first, if you refilled your toner, the printer will always tell you, that you are not using original toner and red light will blink. second, if printer tell you every time to replace different color, then you need to clean a chip reader and chips on toners. take out all toners and pc drum. under toner rack there is a chip reader, clean it with pressure air and reinstall

Konica minolta error

I had the same problem and found that one of the toner cartridges must have not been seated properly. I removed the black toner cartridge and re-fitted it. The printer now works fine again with no errors. 17H is a code relating to a fault in the rotation ......... possibly one or more toner cartridges need checking. Use the menu on the printer to turn it to the appropriate position (i.e. engine menu then select replacement of whichever toner you are checking).
Hope this fixes your as well.
