Treadmill incline not working - Nordic Track NordicTrack Treadmill, A2550

if the motor tries to work but incline does not go up something is jammed on the treadmill or the incline motor is bad

If the recalibrate doesn't work swap the red and black wires on the incline motor and re plug the treadmill to the wall and let go all the way to bottom. Unplug then remove wires from incline motor and tape off. At least then u can still run on it. But incline feature is no longer an option

Debris.

Try to recalibrate the incline. Start the machine running, press the incline up button, then pull the safety key off. Release the incline up button and replace the safety key. The treadmill should go to maximum incline then minimum. after calibration is completed, retry the treadmill operation.

Because you are hearing the lift motor making a noise, it sounds like the gears in the motor are bad. The fix is to replace the lift motor.

ProForm Treadmills have a reset procedure for the incline function. With the key inserted in the console, activate the incline; while the incline is changing, remove the key. Wait 30 seconds, then replace the key. The incline should to maximum, then to minimum, resetting its limits. It worked for mine just 10 minutes ago; the procedure is in the manual if you have it. there is a plastic spacer at the rack area on the incline mtr- this white plastic spacer has broken, only recourse u have is to unplug the white wire on incline mtr, and never have a incline, or replace incline mtr when you find out how much the mtr is you might want to walk with out incline- if you was in my area, I have them cheaper

My wife had the same problem with her treadmill. I turned the beast on it's side, and unscrewed the plastic casing that houses the motor, computer, and all the electronics to the treadmill. I unplugged the incline/decline motor. Then on the bottom of the treadmill the long threaded rod that causes the incline needed to be moved. So I unbolted it from the catch, and manually screwed the rod back in with a wrench. Now the treadmill works fantastically, of course the incline/decline mechanism has been disabled, but I would rather have a treadmill with the incline disabled than have one always on 100% incline. Technically, the Incline Trainer and the treadmill are two different type of machines. The incline trainer raises much higher so the card that is designed for the treadmill will not work on the incline trainer unfortunately.

my treadmill is doing the same thing. the only buttons that work are the start; incline up. 4 incline; 8 incline; and 11 incline.
