Here is the Acer download site for your model.
Note there is also a 5230 E. Check if this is yours.

I think you'll need the Chipset Download. Pick the newest one.
If in doubt, there is a Hardware Detection utility available at top of the page.
Download and install it for automatic driver support.

go to there web site and down load diagrams/instructions.

go into bios by hittin F10 when it starts up go to diag and run a test on hard drive to see if its bad. tell me if it passes bc if its good there are a couple of other things it could be.

my acer extnsa 5230 crystal eye not workinng. camera not found can u help me why?

Ok, if it is as what i think, the solution is very simple, just inter the SETUP (F2) and change the SATA mode to (IDE), the default is ACHI if i'm correct, i dont have time to enter the BIOS to get the right name, just do it..

enter the bios and change the SATA mode to IDE, then save and exit. now you can install XP..

have FUN
