Gamepad to usb adapters?

I have a Gravis GamePad Pro with a 15-pin joystick end, but my computer doesn't have a Joystick/Gamepad port. What I'd love to do is have a 15-pin Joystick/Gamepad-to-USB adapter....

So my question is - is there an adapter that will work with this gamepad even though it's about 5+ years old? I have WinXP, so I'm not terribly worried about PC compatiblity...

The adapter is out there. I happened upon one a while back, and got a nice joystick to work with it (win2k).

I can't seem to get my gamepad pro grip to work though. I think I may have bad controllers.

Follow the below guide from Logitech.....

The following Logitech gaming devices will function on a Macintosh computer running Mac OS 9 with Input Sprockets 1.7 or higher. You must also have a functioning USB port.

Trying to install Gravis Eliminator Gamepad Pro/USB under Windows XP SP3. When i plug it into a USB port, I get the Windows message "USB Device Not Recognized". If I go to Control Panel > Game...

I have encountered a similar issue before. What works, is to try the update of your chipset's driver. This could be an error once present in your chipset's initial release, but has since then been fixed by your chipset's manufacturer. Also this could another among the millions of peculiarities in the windows operating system, i say this for it is very possible the the controller will function well if a game is started while the controller is already plugged in. Just see if it works, but an amendment to the chipset's instruction set would be optimal.

How to install on Mac

Logitech does not provide any gaming software for the Mac platform. However, Logitech gaming devices are supported natively in Mac OSX. This means you can still use your Logitech gaming device, provided that the game you are playing supports a gamepad, joystick, etc.
If you are using a gamepad, and you'd like more programmability, you can use third party software such as Gamepad Companion. Keep in mind that this is third party software and you should contact the manufacturer of the software should you have any issues or questions about using the software.

Please read THIS and THIS as well.
