Delonghi esf461st not heating up

Sorry, I thought I was doing a search! Problem is ... the element isn't heating up on the oven (everything else works). I've replaced the element twice in the past and I've just taken the panel off to find that there is a thin but clear space between the rings of the element so now I think the problem might be elsewhere. I did change the function switch once but I can't remember why! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a fuse built in? Try Googling the manufacturer and asking for a schematic.

Hi Michael. Thanks for your quick reply. I don't know if there is an inbuilt fuse but I do know it's impossible to get a wiring diagram. Any hints on how to recognise the fuse?

Kenmore Elite Gas range, model # 790.79363401 The range works but the oven does not seem to heat up. It appears to ignite, just not get hot.

Hello,

the problem should be from the heating element of your Kenmore Elite Gas range. The heating element is either defective or may have loosed contact as a result of heat coming out of the Oven. The heat coming from the oven may have melted the wire connected to the heating element which might not make it heat up.

Disassemble the oven and check if its actually the wire connected to heating element that got melted, or its time to replace the heating element.

Good luck.

GE Profile JTP85 (installed 1998). The lower heat element in the lower oven will not heat. I can make the upper element heat up by using the BROIL function, but neither element gets warm on BAKE.

Oven on RF263LXTT2 does not maintain a constant heat. Oven heats, but doesn't seem to continue heating at a constant heat during the baking process. Both coils heat up during the preheat. Seems like once...

The problem looks like a faulty electronic control. When you select baking, the broiling element should not come up.

Before replacing control assembly, test the temp probe located inside the cavity, check the wiring harness to temp probe and elements, and ensure that the fan is working if the oven is fan assisted.
