What is causing the fan not cut in on the gas grill when it is lit?

The fan does not cut in when the grill is on and the knobs and chrome handle get VERY hot. Does this mean we have a failed fan part?

How do you light the gas grill

I assume outdoor gas grill? If so, turn on gas at tank. There should be a knob that has a lightening bolt or something similar representing ignition. Turn the knob to that diagram and click the igniter till it lights. If you don't have igniter use a long grill lighter. Once that is lit you can turn other knobs that control other rows of gas if so equiped.

Troubleshooting nexgrill charcoal gas grill

did you replace the battery in the igniter?
less than 100 degrees indicates a safety has engaged, close gas valve, open burner valves.....wait 5 minutes. keep lid open, close burner valves, open gas valve until you hear the regulator click
turn on "ignition burner" and ignite (with switch or at specified port).
After this part is lit open other burners one at a time , waiting until each lights before opening the next.

Searing Unit Keeps Cutting Out After Release of Knob

First I have a couple of questions for your question on how to fix your Brinkmann Gas Grill, Model 810-8501-S
===============================================.

1). Did you push the igniter for 3-5 seconds after you turned on the Sear Burner (remember, this needs to be done AFTER you've turned the control knob to HIGH).

2). Once the burner is lit, you then need to continue to PUSH & HOLD the control knob for another 30 seconds as this somehow seals the deal, thus this should solve the problem.

3). However, if this does NOT work, you may have a defective Sear Burner and the best thing to do is to contact the Customer Service Department over at Brinkmann:

* The Brinkmann Corporation
Attn: Customer Service

Propane gas flame is not hot. Do I adjust the air

Here is something to try if it is LP Gas:

Here is a Tip to fix a grill that not getting hot:
1. Turn the gas valve knob off. then close LP tank valve knob.
2. Unscrew the plastic hose coupling knob from the LP tank. You may hear a slight "hissing" sound as pressure is released this is normal.
3.Wait a minute then screw the coupling knob back on to LP Tank.
4.With lid open.slowly open LP tank valve.
5.Relight the grill the proper way by turning gas valve knob to ON position while turning the igniter knob at the same time.
6.After you are sure the grill is lit preheat the grill for 30 minutes.

This was called purging the line or releasing the air out of the line.

Another thing your orifice could be clogged with spiders or dirt. If it is LP gas check to make sure your hose is not kinked.

Gas leaking behind the handles along perforated pipe

Spiders get into the gas line and spin their webs causing the gas flow to be interrupted. Take the burner off and carefully remove the web. Replace the burner and it will work just fine.
