On the big lock ring there is a small clip that you pull out away from the ring then turn out of the way. It is just a peg to stop the ring from turning, with that done from the back of the pump loosten the ring in a counter clockwise direction. With the ring clear start the pump for just a second a couple of times till the water pressure pops the pump in two. Once that is done I beleve it has five screws holding the difuser on, pull that and on most models their is a center screw on the impeller. This screw is a left hand thread so turn it clockwise to loosten it. Then insert something flat and strong in a vain of the impeller on the left side and give it a sharp hit to start the impeller spinning off. If need be spin the rest of the way off and your at the seal. Rember when putting this back together Hand tight only on the impeller and use a teflon or silicone base lube not petroleium jelly.
