Why does my technike tv keep making loud cracking noises?

Sounds like something's got between the drum and tub and is resting on the heater element. Remove the heater and check in the gap

your lcd ip board (power board) capacitor had already exhusted.
got to replace the ip board.

The 23" CRT set may have a high voltage breakdown in the flyback transformer or focus divider. Take the back off and operate the set in a dark room. Look for anything that has a blue glow around it or sparks flying when the pop occurs. I won't guarantee this will find your problem, but it is definitive if you see these!

I once had a set with these symptoms. I stopped the blue glow and arcing by covering the focus divider with epoxy. It worked for a couple of months before the divider literally broke apart.

I had the same problem, it was the color wheel (part # 270916). The bearings go and it starts making noise. It was fairly easy to replace.

Its the plastic cassing making the noise. If you press the tv together along the edges you will here a crack. Samsung and others did not use 99 cent padding between the plastic and the metal you need cushion padding. Its like not using a gasket or seal. Its a simple fix but the tv companies say its expansion.

It seems you have loose or cold solder joint connection problem,causing a cracking sound.The solution is to reworks or resolder the solder joint connection in power supply section, audio section and inverter section...

can you identify the flashing item because it sounds like the flyback or the high voltage splitter can you send me a picture of the part thats flashing white please?

i would think it's worth reapir.
