Hello, Thank You for using FixYa. I will be helping you today.You have to lift the unit up from the counter use some boards across the counter to support it and remove the screws from around the unit under the glass lip. On some units there are screws under the vent grille also. After removing the screws lift the whole top off.Thats all you have to do.

you have two choices here. if you wish to repair the knob and you have both parts just get a tube of one minute epoxy at any hardware and "glue" the knob back together.
are you up for the job? you may need a new switch.(Part # 74009254)the origal switch is nla but this switch should work. If you attemp changing yourself make sure you turn off the circuit breaker to the range,
