Ok, basic question...is the lock engaged? It is the small knob at the center of the adjustment wheel. Is it possible the screw has been galled?

My Delta Unisaw quit spinning the blade even though the belts are fine. The blade is tight. The motor druns.

I would unplug saw and check if you can turn blade by hand the belts do not move. I would remove pulley and check key on abror shaft.

Blade on older delta unisaw really hard to crank up and down

I have been using a unisaw with a Biesemeyer fence for fifteen years. It is simply the best. Unscrew the locking nob in the center of the up/down wheel. Unscrew it all the way. You will see that it is a rod with threads near the nob and a point on the end. If there is rust or gunk, clean it. Do not lubricate the pointy end or it won' lock. If this doesn't work, take enough of the saw apart to look at the mechanism. It is very simple and rugged; you will probably see the problem easily.

Bladewillnot lower

sometimes when the blade is lowered too far the gears can get stuck. First try a reasonable tap with a mallet. If that fails you will need to access the mechanism, grease it and get it operating again

I have a delta 34-444 table saw, is it a right or left tilt, or how do i find out?

Left-tilt, right-tilt refers to the direction the top of the blade can be tilted when it is not straight up and down. There will be an indicator on the front of the saw, normally pointing to zero. When you adjust the blade away from zero, if it tilts to the left, it is a left-tilt saw.

Delta 10 inch unisaw switch hums wont start motor

All of the above are correct. However, before you go nuts with motor stuff, unplug the saw and make sure the blade shaft turns freely, If it doesn't, look for something jammed in the belt and pulley mechanisms. Loosen the drive belt and check the motor shaft rotation and the blade shaft rotation separately. If you find nothing, remove the belt and try starting the motor. If it won't start like this (no load) there is a motor problem. If it does start, find the drive mechanism problem and fix it; not many possibilities. Good luck.

I have a 1979 unisaw and it is burning stock . the arbor is 0.001" off ,I checked with a digital dial indicator. I have not used my fence just cross-cutting with my delta miter gauge. I bought a new freud...

I would use a straight edge, to see if the blade is parallel to the table. Bring the blade up, put the straightedge on it and measure to one of the dado cuts in the table, front and back should be the same. If not, You can loosen up the mounting bolts underneath and tap the whole thing around to square it up. Hope this helps.
