A9 is Brother's code "Abnormal scanning reference voltage"; try restarting the fax machine and trying again, or replace the scanner unit. (per Brother's website)

The only way you can connect this wireless is if you either connect the USB cable to your router directly with a USB cable or by connecting the printer to a computer and then share it over the network.
The a6 error is Scan Unable, So i assume your trying to scan something? Dont know how to fix it, But i figured id try to help by giving you the meaning to the error code.
Here's the manual. Look at page 6-8. That tells how to turn on real-time transmission. You just need to do the same thing, except switch it to off when you get to that step.
