SOURCE: My laptop beeps everytime I try to turn it on and it makes a beeping noise.

Try removing the laptops battery for 1 minute & putting it back in. That should fix the issue.

SOURCE: I have a HP Pavilion dv6000 and the fan has started making noises

Its possible but it would require taking out all the screws from the bottom of the latop, taking out the keyboard and the screws from the top cover. Then disconnecting the ribbon for the mouse pad and any other plugs coming from the top cover. After you take off the top cover you'll expose where the fan is at and at that point you can clean it off. If it still makes weird sounds then the fan would need to be replaced.

What causes my laptop to make short beeping/buzzing noise?

What you describe almost certainly translates into those indecipherable buzzing sounds that suggest the state when the audio hardware is getting rubbish input signals - due to the hardware crash - and thus producing rubbish noises. This does not necessarily suggest the audio hardware to be the faulty component; it can be any combination of components, unfortunately.

Also it is possible that your laptop increases temperature over normal indications..
Download speedfan software(free) at http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php
and monitor cpu temperatures and hdd temperatures whether are in high value or not

Water on keyboard, now laptop won't start and makes noise

I would say the laptop is done. You have given it more than enough time to dry out so you have shorted out something on the motherboard. Remove the hard drive so that you have access to the information stored on it. You can pick up a refurbished laptop from micro center for under 200.00.

Weird beeping noises

Need to know what make and model of laptop you have. It could be the CD drive's internal hardware, or the hard drive beginning to fail, or even a failing fan. You may be able to get MSI to repair it for free if you call them (If it's a warranty issue).

You should make a back up of anything important on your laptop if it's about to fail...

I have a Dell 1525 laptop and when powering up, nothing comes up on the screen but the power light comes on. One time it made a loud beeping nosie.

It depends on the beeping noise you hear. If it beeps short but continuouse then it is probably power problem possibly the battery. You can use a guide to the beeps to determine what exaclty is causing the probpem it might well be the hard drive is gone.

E6500 making a beeping noise

Does beeping noise happened before turning on laptop? If yes unplug the laptop from the AC Adapter. Just leave AC Adapter ON and connected to the power outlet. Check if AC Adapter is the one making beeping noise. Note: This is an issue with dell AC Adapter laptops
If no beeping noise in AC Adapter then proceed checking it from the laptop. Does beeping noise happened immediately when laptop is turned on? If yes then it might be laptop's hard drive creating the sound. Try to check the BIOS in your laptop under the category performance if the HDD Acoustic is ON either in Normal or Performance. Note: When laptop is in performance the hard drive makes noise due to its speed, this is normal if BIOS HDD Acoustic mode is ON to performance.
If the noise only happens when sometime while working on the laptop, this might be cause by the laptop fan. This also happens after turning on the laptop fan my have dirt and dust, please do check.
If fan was cleaned, HDD performance was checked and AC adapter was checked then, carefully sense if noise is coming from the internal speakers.
Download the latest BIOS update for your laptop then flash the BIOS. Make sure battery and AC adapter are connected when doing these.

Buzzing sound in Acer Aspire 5535

I've come across this before and it turned out to be the soundcard driver. See if there's an updated driver on Acer's website.

Strange buzzing can also be caused by a stuck or damaged key. Does pressing ESC help at all?

Unlikely to be the hard drive. They crunch and grind but don't buzz, unless they're completely knackered, when they can give you a three-tone buzz sound and won't spin up at all.

Hope that helps,
Matt

Problem with inspiron 6400 does not ignite sometimes

Samj04011, Not sure I understand entirely what problem you are experiencing. I?m assuming you are using ?igniting? to refer to starting the laptop but it?s making some odd noises and takes lots of time to start. Can you give us some additional information such as: -describe the noise in greater detail; is it beeping and if so are they long, short and how many. These may be beep codes which are a series of long or short beeps, the number and order point to specific errors. -What is displayed on the monitor? -What LEDs light up whey you try to start? Once you?ve given us some more information we can start to figure out what is going on.
