I have an iPod (1.1.4 8g) I am trying to start an acct. for the umpteenth attempt & I Have typed my name(Frederick Harris) & my Email address([email protected])and each time I'm told that a message is being sent to my Email with a confirmation so that I may proceed with my sign up process. However, the email message never comes...please help me...I am 60yrs old and I am very new to all of this computer technology and procedure...thank you.

If someone registered with it before but hasn't used it for a while, yahoo disables that account and bounces back all emails sent there.

try clearing the browsing history in internet explorer options so it clears out the cookies just go to internet explorer options and click delete it should be under browsing history then try again it should then let you open attachments in yahoo

Try this go to webpage for account and try to sign in type in user name or the forgot login details tab and you will be asked to input email address used to set up account and they will send a link to reset account details

iPods can be upgraded or synced by using iTunes. If you have a Mac, this is a relatively easy process; with Windows, you will have to first download iTunes. If you don't have a computer, you could always upgrade or sync through a computer that has admin access from a trusted friend.

IPod touch-1.1.4 / 8gb ...when I log in to facebook,I can only see the top 1/2 of my homepage & the bottom half says it is loading but really is not. So,when I tap on the main menu button (on the screen)...

I had issues with my iPod touch in a similar situation, for me it all had to do with the WiFi component inside. It got damaged or fried from the over usage. It would load tiny bits of information on pretty much anything internet related but then die out trying to load forever. I would have to turn off wifi and try again. I had to take into apple and get the piece replaced, by which I firgured it was time to upgrade.

I RECOMMEND you try this first:
1. Uninstall Facebook app and re-install it.

Press and hold the "Home" button untill apps are shaking
Touch the "X" on the facebook app you want to uninstall
Re-download and install app from app store.

2. Update the iPod version

Settings
General
Software Update

3. Take into apple support get the wifi component replaced
or
4. Upgrade to a newer device :/

Your i O/S is out of date, you will have to re sync your Ipod touch with i Tunes and download the latest firmware. Sometimes the software will lose its updates and some of your apps and programs won't run well. Including Facebook. Especially when you use Safari. What generation is your Touch? Gen 1, 2, 3? is it the MC Model? Example: One of My Ipod touches is an MC model 8GB i O/S 4.3.1 maybe this info can help, you can find your ipod info in the "Settings" menu. you should see a lay out in the About ipod tab.

If another account comes up, log out of it by clicking the little down arrow in the upper-right then clicking "Log Out."

If you then still can't log in to your account, click the "Forgot your password?" link located just below the password box on the login page.
