Need to program access code into phone line for long distance numbers

Tho I followed directions to program my access code on either one touch or speed dial, when I try to use it for an outgoing fax, I get the operator recording saying 'this number cannot be dialed check the number again'. I've been able to successfully program the access code in my old old intellifax 775, but unable to do it with this new one!

Does it work when you press speaker/hook and manual dial same fax number you are trying to program

It sounds like you are adding digit needed for outside line when it is in fact a direct/dedicated fax line, that needs it not (or vise versa).

Are you printing a report of rapid/speed dials that you set to ensure the number you put in is correct?

Panasonic KX-T7730 Corded Phone programmed speed dial numbers not working. will not dial numbers programmed

When the system is installed, you need to make sure that only the lines equipped are in the access plan (program 400 in a TA series box). When you go to the intercom on a phone and dial "9" you should get an outside line every time. If that works, system and personal speed dials include that access code as part of the number. eg my test number is 914197845522 9+1+10 digits.

KX-Ta824 Speed dialing problem

Panisonictel.com has a FAQ for this model here

In that FAQ, there is this explanation of your problem:

When I tried to access speed dial, it does not call out.
When storing speed dial number of external parties, the stored speed dial number must include CO (outside line) access code (9 or 81…etc) even with direct line access. If the external number is 1234567, you must store the speed dial number as 91234567.
This rule applies to all system speed dial, station speed dial and speed dial key.

It looks like you're just going to have to add a leading 9 to all the speed dial numbers for that function to work.

How do I program a phone number to the one touch buttons on a Panasonic KX-T7730 phone?

It depends on what you get when you dial "9" on the intercom. If you get an outside line, then the 12 right side buttons on your phone can be programmed for one touch dialing like this:
On an idle phone, press PROGRAM a button and dial 9 plus the number and STORE. You can program more than one button by just pressing button numbers and STORE. Exit programming by picking up the handset and dropping it back down.

If you want a specific line, you may be able to dial the specific 8x code to access a line directly, or you can go into system programming and delete the open lines in program 400. Disabling would be the best, because if your 8x line is busy, you can't make the call with the auto dial button.

I NEED TO STORE NUMBER ON MY PANASONIC KX T7730

The mechanics of storing a speed dial number on Panasonic phones is the same, even if the phone can be connected to one of 18 different model Key Service Units. It involves pressing PROGRAM a button, an access code, the number, and STORE. In the U.S. our access code to get an outside line is "9". You may be using something different, like '0'.

The differences are if you can dial "9" on the intercom and get a dial tone, which collumn of buttons you press, and/or whether you want this to be PERSONAL numbers or SYSTEM numbers.

In a TA-824, lines are accessed high to low. If you have 2 lines on a basic system and dial "9" to get an outside line, you will land on line 3 if you have not told the system that line 3 is disabled (system program 400). So, the fast answer is press PROGRAM, a button on the right side, dial 9+your desired number and STORE. If it's a left side button, dial 29 instead of 9.

System speed dials requrie access to system program 001.

If this does not work on your system, please comment back with your actual system model number.

Panasonic KX-T7730- assigning speed dialing/one touch. I tried to press prog button and the one touch button..but it gives me an error message "not stored". How to solve this? I have 12 buttons to assign...

It says "Not Stored" because you haven't stored anything in it. There are 12 buttons on the left side with lights and 12 buttons for feature dialing on the right. If you want to monitor extensions, the buttons on the left are the ones to use. If you want to store speed dial numbers and feature codes use the ones on the right.

Left button programming. Press PROGRAM and the button. For extensions, dial 1+ext and STORE. For CO's, press 0+line number, for inside codes press 2+code, for outside number press 2+9+number, all followed by STORE.

Right button programming. For inside codes dial the code, for outside number press 9+number followed by STORE.

Note that you could also dial "8x" or "80x" in place of "9" for specific line access. Also, you can store extension speed dial numbers on the right, you just won't get a light indication when they're busy.

Programing Speed dial on Walker W1000 Clarity Phones

I solved my problem by trial and error!

Steps to program speed dial on the Walker/Clarity Model W-1000 Touch Tone Sound Amplifier desk set phone w/large number pad.

1. Choose phone number to program including the (#1) digit for a long distance direct dial if
needed.
Write chosen number(s) on a scratch pad as a guide for numbers. Identify numbers with the
names or contact description (ie."Mom's Cell Phone.")

2. Remove hand set receiver from phone.

3. Press "memory set" button ONCE on the phone located uder the receiver on the desk set.

4. Enter phone number chosen, including area codes and long distance prefixes if needed!

5. Locate the speed dial position button you want for that number...(located adjacent to
tag/pad slot for name and/or phone number to be written after entering.

6. Press the speed dial position button (ONCE). Then replace receiver back in craddle.

7. Try out speed/dial program. Pick up receiver, push speed dial button(position) listen to see if
correct phone number is contacted. Once established as correct; program additional speed dial
numbers: ie family, business, as needed.
8. DO NOT TRY TO PROGRAM THE NATIONAL EMERGENCY 911 NUMBER! Keep this in your
own memory!
9. If you make a mistake while entering a phone number: Stop, Hang up phone and start all over

Note that these 5 buttons are position numbers are 100, 101, 102, 103 and 104. 100 is the first button above EXT PICKUP, and 104 is the first button below DND. These numbers can also be programmed using the method in Step 2 below and entering the position number (100 – 104).

Clear speed dial/one touch settings

There is no way to clear the settings you would have to re-program the correct setting. Did you program one touch speed dial on the line buttons? I do not see how programming a speed dial could effect accessing the CO lines unless you re-programmed the CO line buttons by mistake. If so, you would need to re-program those soft keys to line buttons. The manual you have may not cover this? The phone you have can work on a few different Panasonic phone systems. If you need a more detailed manual you will first need to know which Panasonic phone system you have. The phone part number WILL NOT help you determine which phone system you have. There is a main control unit somewhere (basement, utility closet, etc..)
