If the appliance is correct any defect wouldn't have happened regardless of whether it is an electro-mechanical or new generation of electronic appliance. Some electronic models sometimes need to clear the memory error "Doesn't take water."
Don't try it at home, please contact authorized service center. It may be hazardous, Please don't use it before Authorized Service Professional fixes it.
Will the dish washer spray water during the wash cycle? If no it could be the pump motor. The motor will run in the opposite direction to drain the washer. Ifit spays water it could be a clog in the drain hose or the connection to the drain (on newer units) or garbage disposal (on older units).Remove the hose from the drain and place it into alarge bucket to see if it drains during unit operation (stop the washer if the bucket fills). if it does clean the connection to the drain or the garbage disposal hole. If not make sure the hose is free from obstructions. If the above checks out then check for voltage on the pump connection with a volt meter. You may be able to visually inspect the pump or listen for the vibration of thepump during the draining operation. If you have voltagethe pump is defective or the internal garbage disposal (found on newer units only) is clogged or damaged.
Check the incoming water to the dishwasher. If the filter is clogged clean it and re fix. Strainer is located on the machine inlet junction where the hose is fitted.
The humming sound is due to motor running without water. When you rectify the inlet flow fault, pour additional water manually into the wash chamber and run the cycle. This to remove trapped air in the pump due to dry run.
a plumber needs to install a anti knock pipe at the valve under the sink ....this should stop the vibes ...should only cost about 50 -75 bucks ...depending on the per hour rate of the plumber
Mine did the same thing; cycled through without any actual washing by the spray arms. pulled the sump and found a piece of broken glass was jamming the impeller. Might have been able to remove this glass by removing the volute cover and exposing the impeller while the sump was still in the machine, but that's hindsight.
U3 means the tub filled to quickly or the water failed to drain. Do you have very high water pressure? are you using the wrong detergent? eg you can't use tablets (powerballs) etc in the unit. Try putting half a cup of white vinegar in the tub to kill any foam. Check there isn't anything stuck under the motor rotor inside the tub and the there's no signs of damage. Put the drain hose in a bucket and see if the water drains ok when the unit starts? If everything seems ok I'd suspect the main motor controller module but it may be worth getting an appliance tech to inspect unit first as it's hard without seeing this unit. feel free to ask any questions. Cheers
remove the lower kick panel inside the washer is a float that goes through the bottom of the tub look under the washer and make sure the end of the safety float rod is on top of the safety float micro switch if its not it wont fill if that don't do it let me know we will trouble shoot the rest but that is probably it
