Hello there... Check your PC's volume. You may or someone in your household has accidentally muted it. Unmute it or increase its volume (if you can't find the audio icon in the taskbar, proceed to the control panel - it's there), it maybe too low. Hope this helps... Ai :)

I have the VGC-VA10G, and one morning I turned it on and the monitor wouldn't turn on? The pc runs perfectly fine. It's just, everytime I try to turn the monitor on, it makes 2 clicking noises and doesn't...

check ur memory card remove the memory card and restart ur computer with out the memory id u hear beeps clean the contacts with an erasor and wipe it clean with a clean cloth and insert it int the slot after shutting down the computer

of course you can change the display screen alone no problem in that... but am sure sony i think sony service may take a lot of money from you for that.. better try going to any other notebook service shops ..getting less cost...:)

Check the Sony website for any and all available windows 7 drivers for your machine. Start with the chipset drivers, then video, sounf etc. Sound will be crappy if you don't install the chipset drivers first.

I have lost all my freeview channels on my Sony Vaio VGC-VA1,I have tried numerous times to re scan the channels but with no luck,this happened this week end

After the recent retune that all Freeview customers had to do (which failed miserably) this can happen on TV tuners on your pc's aswell.

Try uninstalling the product, and reinstalling, then rescanning. There is a chance this could work.
