What does flashing symbol cata mean on an aeg double oven?

Either the display board or the control board needs replacing. Due to the cost, have the diagnostics and replacement done by a service technician. You will also get warranty on the repair.

It is not a well known make in North America.

My search shows that the ECL90T hob is a product of an India-based company, Cata. Visiting their website reveals no direct link for Support or downloadable manuals. However, there is a link to contact them through email which I believe is your best bet. Here is the link:

I can not insert the symbols here to properly answer your question so, I found the manual and you can read the steps on page 9 here:

Switching off the child safety device

• Start the hob with ( ' ). Do not set the heat settings . Touch for (Up arrow) 4 seconds. The

symbol ( 0 ) comes on.
• Stop the hob with ( I )

Possible there is short in the oven heater. You will need to check individually the circuit for short or leak into the circuit. Also if the trip is on a ELCB then this is due to an earth leak. Please check if there is leak on the wiring or a possible poor earth/ground connection at the outlet.

im sure if you go to the AEG website & type your modle # etc, you would most probably find a downloadable user manual for that. Give it a go.

It is child lock.

Turn cooker on, press two + at front of oven, this will then take it off for that cooking session.

To turn child lock off switch on hob, and touch - for 5 seconds.
