SOURCE: I have a Lenovo Y430 notebook and it was working
After making sure that the status of network adapters in the device manager showed enabled, I tried using the Fn+F5 key on my keypad. The Fn+F5 key showed my WiFi status as disabled inspite of the Wifi toggle switch on the front of the laptop in the "on" position. So I enabled it and the WiFi led started glowing and I was able to access the internet through WiFi connection

hi there, you wireless network card driver is probably not installed. check in control panel if your computer has detectde your wireless network card. got ot control panel then system then device manager and look for network adapters.make sure that wireless network card is installed there withot exclamation mark. if not present then reinstall the driver by using the driver disk that came with the system or going to the website http://consumersupport.lenovo.com. if installed, then try perssing Fn+F6 to enable/disbale your wireless card.
please let me know if you need more help.
Thanks

Be sure your wireless switch is on. Then check your device manager. If it has yellow mark under network adapters, then you need to download driver for that. Click here to download driver. If that won't still work, try uninstalling Lenovo Readycomm from the list of your programs in Control panel. If that still doesn't work, contact your service provider to configure the wireless settings of your pc and router.
