you need to keep it out direct sun light, if the sim card getting hot maybe the sim card is not compatible to that unit, blow some air through the sim connector port, it maybe dusty, or dirt in the contacts, try a different type of sim card good one like scandisk, or smartmedia memory card, make sure the sim card memory is not maxed out in the amount of memory that the device recommends, some time if it say 4gb dont put 8-64gb of memory in it, it will overheat and may start a fire. if you have problems contact the manufacture for more help.
Most sim cards will now support 3g, best to check directly with the provider, however you do realise that you need a dongle to use 3g with this tablet, the sim card would go in the dongle and it may well be a micro sim depending on the dongle.
The LG Optimus Big LG-LU6800 is a CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) unit. A network (usually a Korean network) connects directly to the unit using its unique code. It doesn`t have a sim card slot. If you want to use it, you need to contact a network provider and register your LG LU6800 for it to get signals in your area, either by prepaid or postpaid service. The device can still be used but without the network call and messaging feature since you will not be getting signals from a network unless you register it. There is a rumorred Mini-sim card slot on a model of the unit. Users use a micro-sim card instead for those unit since there is an issue fitter the prior sim card size. If you are unable to find the sim card slot (visible when you remove the battery) then you most probably have the CDMA version.
You don't. There's no way to do that without paying for it. Sim cards are the direct connect to the company. The company has to allow a sim card to use it's services... You can't "hack" a sim card for free anything.
Hey! I just got the PRO 700. IT DOES NOT USE SIM CARDS! instead like the other sprint phones it uses the ESN/MEID number on the back. Just call sprint and tell them you want to do an ESN SWAP or SWITCH TO A NEW PHONE and they will ask you for the number under the battery. They will also walk you through activating everything including Direct Connect. It is as fast as Nextel traditional Direct Connect but it has a MUCH LARGER COVERAGE AREA FOR VOICE AND DIRECT CONNECT. Soon these phones will take control and the whole IDEN network Nextel uses will be converted to CDMA (sprints High Speed Network).
the driver was not installed properly. Motorola has downloadable drivers on their website. check with them for dowload instructions. If you still have trouble you may want to install motorola phone tools. It is synchronization software by motorola. costs about $30
