Time and date is system wide programming and not the phone. You need to read the Administration Guide that matches the phone system model you have. You also need to do it from the Administration phone, usually the 2 lowest ext #'s on the system. NEC DTR16D Phones work on several NEC systems. If it is an Elite or IPK then search internet for: NEC ipk attendant guide
What model of NEC phone system do you have? Go look in the phone or data room and look at the PBX. You might also be able to press Feature 3 to get some information which would be helpful to a tech. If it is an SV8100 try this:
To set the system Time:
1. Press
Speaker.
2. Dial
728.
3. Dial two digits for the hour (24 hour clock, 13 = 1:00 PM).
4. Dial two digits for the minutes (00~59).
5. Press
To reset time NEC Dterm 80
Press speaker and enter 728 on keypad.
Then enter correct time in 24 hour format...Ex. 2:56 = 1456
Then press speaker again...
Note: On my system this changes time on all phones on the system
You have to be on the root phone or "first phone". To check various phones -Hit {feature} 4. Should display 100= TEL 01. Once on the first phone then use {feature} 9 #. Time will flash at top of display and can be adjusted.
If you are not on the first phone you will get error at the top of the display. Leave the hand set on the hook.
Press feature; press 9; press #; use key pad to change time; press recall to change am/pm; press feature again to when time correct; new time should show.
Press the "Speaker" button and enter 728 on the key pad. Then enter the correct time in 24 hour format. For example at 2.56 p.m. type 1456. Then press speaker again and you're done
