A possible solution for you if you have the space on your harddrive is to copy the entire contents over from the disc to a temporary folder, and install from there. Once installed, put your disc in your cdrom drive, and test it. If it works, delete the temp folder, and test again to make sure it's not trying to 'check' the temporary folder, but instead check from the cdrom.

i have same problem i downloaded map pack 1 and 2 ages ago and i stoped playin cod5, i started again last night and my map packs seem to have dissapeared so i downloaded them again from previous downloads for free and i download in background fine i get to the little bubble one where i need to save it, it starts goes through to 100% then says ----- an error occurred during the install operation. (80029564) CAN ANYONE HELP?

If you are trying to run it on a PS3 console, Try to upgrade you'r PS3 console

you have to wait for a while to be able to download it for free, its only about 15-20 mins between 100mb downloads anyway, dont pay for anything!!!!
