D-Link DIR-300 Router not working properly

I have a DIR-300 Wireless router that has been working fine until recently. A few days ago the internet connection suddenly went off for all the computers in the house (both wired and wireless), however, the router page stated that internet was online. I tried connecting my PC directly to the modem and yes, internet is still working. Also it seems the computer can't detect other computers on the workgroup while connected, so I figured it has to be a problem with the router.
Does anybody know what may be happening and how I can solve this?

Try to configure your router again, maybe that will solve your problem.

Can't get internet to work with dir-615 router for more than a day or two at a time

If you have more than one device hooked up to the router, when the problem occurs try pinging another device. If you are able to then the router is working fine and most likely the modem is flaky and needs to be replaced. The modem supplies the internet connection, the router just applies NAT so that more than one device and use your public IP address. If this turns out to be the issue make sure you contact your ISP for any special instructions. For instances Comcast requires the MAC address located on the bottom or back of the modem in order for your connection to work, other ISP use proxy settings. Century Link has no requirements.

We have 2 laptops going through this router and

First you need to verify that what kind of Internet connection you have from the satellite and what you need to do on the router so that it can communicate with the modem like MAC address cloning or changing the LAN IP Address. On the basis of that we will need to reconfigure the router back as it might happen due to a power outage or small network glitch the router might have lost the settings stored on it.
