Reset hp nc6000 notebook to factory restore

You can't restore a compaq nc6000 unless you have the xp disk.In 7 and 8 its much easier to do this, All newer computers have a separate partition with the factory programs in it,This was not an option in xp or older computers.you will have to re-install windows and get all the drivers and software from the HP website.I hope this was helpful
For HP you have to hit F11 when you first start up your computer..

How do i reset my compaq computer to its original settings

Read the Manual

Get onlineand got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "HPSupport" or "Compaq Support" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operatingsystem when requested. Look for Manuals and search them for Restore Factory Settings or System Recovery.
I got the statement below from your manual.
Using f11
CAUTION: Using f11 completely erases hard drive contents and reformats the hard drive. All files
you have created and any software installed on the computer are permanently removed. The f11
recovery tool reinstalls the operating system and HP programs and drivers that were installed at the
factory. Software not installed at the factory must be reinstalled.

Compaq nx6310 factory bios reset

You can try removing the CMOS battery or take it in to a good shop they have the software tweaks to do that. I know most folks are avoiding the shops for a good reason however some things just are not avoidable and by the time you learn how to crack a lost password plus purchase the software program to do it. You will already be up and running for an hours time at a shop to reset it.
This is why it is critical to make a password reset disc right away or do not use a password that you will forget over time. I use the last four of my social when I use a password who can forget that.....
Another option is to re-install and re-boot the computer to its factory settings using your restore software that came with your purchase.............John

Unable to install software

Are you able to go to my computer, then to c:/ drive, then go to program files. Look for the uninstall file.

You can also go to start menu, search, type in the file name and search it, once found, delete everything listed.

The 3rd way is to go to start menu, go to run, type regedit, then find H_KEY_LOCAL_USER, then scroll down until you find the software tab and then click the + sign to expand the list with all your software. Once you find the program file, right-click on the file and delete it.
Then go back to the main list, go to H_KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, find the software tab, and find the program and delete it. Then exit the program, reboot your pc, and now the program will be gone.

Theres to much junk and i want to restore factory image and drivers

Did your system come with recovery CD's, if so, use them. If not the compaq may have a system recovery software preinstalled, within the program look for something along the lines of "create factory default recovery cd/dvds. Then follow the instructions.
If not, there maybe an option when you switch the compaq on and if you look closely for text saying something like restore settings you may have to press a button which it asks to press to get to this as sometime PC's have an factory default image on a hard drive partition which is usually hidden.

Need to delete entire computer

Usually you need 1 of 3 things:

1) A restore CD or DVD that came with your computer. If you have this insert it in the drive and reboot.
2) Look in Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools and see if there is a Recovery program listed that you can run. (Note: Not Restore.)
3) When you begin booting the computer watch closely at any prompts such as: For Recovery Press F10 or something similiar. It could be any F key.

Remember when you run a recovery program, you may need to reinstall drivers for things such as your motherboard, sound, network adapter, video, etc.

You will also need to run Windows update asap to get up to date.

Finally, you will need to reinstall any software that was not on your computer when you bought it.

Restoring factory setting

you should have received some discs when you bought the PC...if not, try looking in your programs list for the application to create the Recovery discs.
Some, not all Compaq's have a F10 recovery (at boot press F10)

be sure to save your personal data to another source (USB stick, CD...etc)
