There is some utility available on Google to reset the printer ink. but its depend which model you are using. "search like R220 ink resetter utility' hopefully it will work for you or goto service center for its repair may be its cost is approx. Rs 350/-
The L110 needs the WICReset utility to reset the waste ink counter and a key to do that too. I believe the WICReset tool will also reset the ink levels without needing a key so if you can source the necessary bulk ink locally you should be able to get printing again.
Flashing alternately mean waste pad full. Reset using SSC utility or Adjusment program/resetter. But, you must replace cartridge before. Turn off printer, unlock carriage lock (left side of carriage at parking position). Move carriage by hand to replacement position. Replace ink tank. Reset using the resetter.
If it is your waste ink pad that is full and needs replacing you can take it to the nearest Epson service centre and have it done the charge is usually about £50-£60 If your husband is good with printers he could strip it down using the service manual and clean the pads himself but he will also need a reset utility to restet the printer when he is finished If your printer is not a new model you may find a reset utility free on the internet
SSC utility is used for resetting waste ink counter, not for ink level counter (chip at ink tank). If you wish to reset ink level counter (chip), you must use hardware resetter, or use CISS chip with autoreset function.
Why what happened to your printer? when you said you want or used a resetter, what do youmean by that? the ink counter resetter? go to epson.com and download the utility if its available for your unit.
You can reset the waste ink counter using http://tricks-collections.com/2008/09/resetter-epson-c58-c67-c79-c90-r270-r390-rx650-cx3900/
The generic SSC utility is also available at http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml
However, remember ink is still accumulating in the waste ink reservoir and will eventually start to leak out. To replace the waste ink pads you need to disassemble the printer.
A free copy of the service manual is available at http://www.filestube.com/2572254e26edfe0a03e9/details.html
The resetter actually resets the Reset Ink Counter not a chip. It resets the ink level (ink metrer) . You can use the resetter tool.
