SOURCE: Bottom freezer door/drawer won't close all the way on one side.

Remove all the food from the freezer and then the drawer from the cabinet. Now using a silicone based lubricant, lube the tracks up real well. Be sure to clean the tracks first if gunked up. Make sure nothing small fell out of the basket over time and is laying on the floor in the rear of the freezer section. Once done, you should be fine.

SOURCE: top drawer of freezer seems to work but large bottom drawer not freezing even at -5degrees. Can this be fixed?

This problem seems to be two sided. A refrigerator defrost it is supposed to take the water from defrost down a pipe located behind the freezer rear wall to a pan below the refrigerator where there is a fan blowing warm air over the water to evaporate back into your home or business. If that drain is blocked your refrigerator will accumulate a large block of ice and frost behind the rear panel of freezer and temperatures will warm considerably in fresh food compartment and freezer. Here is one site I want you to read over=> Leaking Refrigerators Just What may Be Happening and here=> Leaking Refrigerators here is a link to a service manual=> LFX25960xx Service Manual Let me know if this service manual is close enough to your model number. At this point I am looking for air blockage behind the rear panel of freezer. If air is being blocked by ice and frost you can use a hair drier to help speed you up while melting ice. If drain is blocked use whatever you can to open the drain line mentions on the links I sent you to and let me know what is found, Thanks Sea Breeze

Why Bottom freezer drawer wont stay open

Freezer and refrigerator doors aren't usually supposed to stay open. The units are usually installed so that they're slightly tilted to the back to make sure gravity will close the doors if you forget to. If you are SURE - I mean really SURE - that you want your freezer to stay open you should check the drawer rails to see if they're adjustable; if they are, trying raising the back of the rails (or lowering the front). If the rails are not adjustable, try adjusting the front feet of your fridge so that the front of the whole unit is just a tiny bit lower than it is now. Don't lower it too much! If you do, the doors won't stay closed; they'll leak cold air and you'll lose food.

Hitachi ax-m71 cd door won't stay closed. Unable

if it opens back up when you close it the drawer mechanism is probably out of alignment. Most players have a slot on the bottom of the drawer that a pin must slide in. Look under the drawer and see if there is a pin sticking up that maybe should be in that slot.

My bottom freezer not closing properly

Pull both drawers completely out of their locations, clean off the slides that they each normally rest on. Clean off the surfaces beneath where they sit. Now, if they are both the same width and height, switch them and see if the problem is solved. If not, check the actual drawers to see if their sliding surfaces are cracked or covered with any kind of junk. You should be able to get everything to fit with these procedures.

I have an LG refrig french door model LFX 31925ST/00. Purchased less than 2 months ago. The top plastic freezer door continues to get an ice build up on the front of the drawer only. Is this normal? ...

It sounds like a loose or bad seal on the top area of the freezer door. Use the old dollar bill test to see how good the seal is. Hold a dollar bill up to the seal and close the door. there should be some resistance. compare the resistance between the top and bottom of the door.

We have the bottom drawer freezer, top french doors, 3 months old, freezer will not shut all the way and now after door open beep has gone off for an hour the whole unit has gone dark

Make sure nothing has fallen behind the freezer drawer or is hitting the top of the freezer to prevent it from closing. Also check that the tilt open front is in the closed position. If nothing is blocking the drawer the gear wheels that support it may not be in the right position. See Owners Manual for instructions about removing/reinstalling the drawer. When you get the drawer to close you may have to unplug the power cord for 30+ seconds to get the unit to reset and restart.

Bottom drawer does not properly close

Okay, I fixed it for now. The design for this bottom freezer drawer is not good. What happened was most likely that my son slammed the door, and it bounced and was slightly open. Overnight, ice started to form all over the compartment, including inside the drawer guides. Some ice was probably obstructing the drawer glide from sliding shut.

What I did, not thinking this was the solution, was to prop chairs against the drawer to close it while I searched for answers on the Internet. In the meantime, some of this ice must have refrozen in the closed position (due to the weight of the chairs). When I went to check it later, I had a little trouble opening the drawer. I gave it a hard yank and some small frost flew off, as I opened the drawer.

It was not easy sliding it due to the frost. I then moved it out and in until it felt smooth, and finally closed the drawer and it stayed in the shut position.

Kids are instructed to close the drawer gently and visually check that it is sealed. There is also an air passage between the refrigerator unit and the freezer so that when you close the double french doors, some air pushed to the freezer section and momentarily pops the drawer open. You should make sure that the drawer closes before leaving the kitchen. If you are on vacation, prop chairs to make sure both the freezer drawer and the french doors stay closed. This is important if you're in an earthquake area as a small tremor could open the doors and you'll get a fire when the lights stay on and burn through the wiring (as others have noted).

Freezer door wont stay closed.

If you can pull the freezer drawer out, check to see if there is anything on the floor of the freezer. You can also try reinstalling the drawer. When you take the drawer out make sure that the spring loaded door catches on the sides are facing towards you. That is if it has any.
