Looks like yours is a bad oven control. There is a # at the end of your model # 0-5 that will determine which control it takes. Once you have that # you can look it up at http://www3.sears.com/ Looks like the part costs about $165.

I have an F1-8 error message and the range will not turn on. I have a Jenn-Air JGS8850ADS. I have two days before Thanksgiving. What do I need to replace? This unit is only about 18 months old....Thanks in advance for your help.

I have an electric range Frigidaire Gallery Series Electrolux, model #GLEF378CBB. The F1 code flashes on the display and shuts down the oven constantly!!!! This happens when the oven is not in use also. Is this a defective oven? Please advise!!!
Thank you.

We just bought this Kenmore gas range as a used appliance from an individual. I don't know what the model number is and the label on the back is worn off. Is there anywhere on the range to find the model number? I'd like to call the repair shop to find out how much it would cost to fix it but I can't call the repair shop without the model number. When we plugged it in we received a constant beeping and an F1 error message. We called the guy we bought it from and he said it must have drawn moisture in the control panel (25 degrees outside and a hour of being out in it in the back of a truck), according to a troubleshooting article he found on the internet. We used the blow dryer on it and then it worked fine. We turned the oven on and it heated up and beeped when it had reached the correct temperature. The oven seemed to be working fine. Some of the messages I've seen said when the F1 message comes up, it shuts the oven off but ours didn't do that. I don't have a manual and was playing with the buttons and when I hit the timer, it counted down from 10 seconds and then the beeping and error message started again. We had to unplug it to stop the beeping. Now, about 10 seconds after we plug it in, it starts beeping.
Hi - I have an old Roper built in oven that came with a house I just bought. Of course, it doesn't work. It is stainless steel and I am wanting to fix it. It is a relic. I believe it is a 1950 range as that is how old the house is? Where do I go for parts and repair. I live in Illinois. Thank you.
I have an old roper built in oven. it is 43 years old with model #911 4742993 and the other day beeped incessantly F1 then shut off. Tonight as I was cooking dinner, it would not exceed the 250 degrees unless I turned the broiler on, then turned it to bake....any ideas? HELP I cannot afford to replace the oven.
What does F0 E2 mean?
