If i purchase an r4 dsi card. does it need new software on the card, or does the older software work ? cheers folks

you want to download isobuster then extract the file from isobuster and then it really works

dont buy the R4 gold pal dont work properly what you need is this site R4i.com they have the new R4 card that works with the 1.4update its really good mine works fine and i just brought a dsi last week.

Yes, so long as you have the correct R4i firmware on your micro sd card, then all .nds game files that worked on the ds will work on a dsi.

DSi requires it's own compatible card. But make sure it's version 1.4 compatible otherwise it won't work either (the R4i Gold came out before the version 1.4 so it wont' work).

If you need to upgrade to a DSi compatible card you can get a genuine cards here www.dscardworld.com and all the DSi 1.4 cards are clearly labeled. I managed to find this site after I got burned at a few others. Loved having my emails responded to because I had loads of questions, and they were quick to ship it.

there is a new dstti out for the dsi and u need that not older one for nds/nds lite

nintendo doesnt let you use any r4 not even r4i the dsi fights independence not even action replay works use acecard 2i

Yes you do need software on the r4 if you go to the R4 website you can retrive it from there

i still say the cheaper n5 is the more superior card put that just maybe personal preferance as i have both n5 and r4
