HINGE RECEIVERS MAY BE BENT. WHEN CLOSING DOOR THERE IS a "hitch" in the motion on left side of door. Door may have slammed opened by owner and bent receiver, door or oven frame although door and frame look unbent. May replace hinge receivers as they are cheap and made of pressed together sheet metal
Well, I assume you have the door hinge clips in the right position,
and the door is seated properly with that 2mm slot that sits on the hinge receivers. If hinges are replaced, then it must be hinge receivers. If the door is crooked, moving the hinge receiver will align the door. Besides hinge receivers should be replaced first, before the hinges, that in my experience rarely break
I dont like the bent twisted story. I bet the little plastic U-roller in the hinge receiver is worn down or cracked. Fix is to replace the hinge receiver (a secondhand one is in plentiful supply) - or find a look alike roller and fit it. Cord pully's at the local hardware store may fit, window slider tracks, or even coins with a small 1 inch by 4mm bolt as an axle will do the trick.
Still not sure. Remove the dorr using instructions, and set aside.
Remove hinge receivers from each side. Are the little wheels in there good, or wobly, worn of missing?

SOURCE: GR556LRKS How do you disassemble the door to replace the hinges?
If your Whirlpool is anything like my Kenmore, you just open the door to the first stop,(open about 6")and just pull up.If your door has a glass front,be very careful where you set it.I broke my glass.I was playing with the hinge.

There is a hole in the hinge, for placing a pin, to hold fully open. Two man job. One forces the hinge into the fully open position; the second inserts the pin (nail) into the hole.
