Take hose off from iron end, press iron button ,breifly! keep tight hold of hose [best to put towel around hose while holding]see if steam comes out.if not hose could be blocked, then take hose from solenoid end and press button .if no steam comes out the solenoid is either faulty or the valve hole inside is blocked, turn off power and take nut off top of solenoid ,check spring and plunger for condition.the small hole may be blocked in the solenoid housing, try a needle in the hole to clear any blockage.

I have just fitted a new solanoid to our steam generator pro express iron. Previously it would continously steam and the answer given was that the solanoid was sticking in on position. now the red light to...

If the iron does not spray properly, inspect and clean the nozzle (see below).
If the iron leaks or spits, clean the steam vents, nozzle, and tank.
If the iron sticks to fabric, clean or repair the soleplate. If the iron stains fabric, clean the soleplate, clean the tank with a commercial cleaner, and use distilled or filtered water.
However clean very well the surface of solenoid, and see if there are something abnormla in the surface and clean it. and test it again. tight very well the connection of solenoid, can be loose and produce NOT strong attraction.
God bless you

Continuous steam and green light flashing on my tefal steam generator iron.

I found this on a site and it works!! Put 50/50 mix of water and viniger in your iron, let it run, after a while start pressing the steam button, you may have to do this a few times, but it will eventually stop the light flashing, then the steam function will return to normal. You'll need to clean the iron out a few times afterwards

My iron will not consistently get HOT.

Hi.

The clicking sound is given by the solenoid that turns on and off the iron element. Heating cannot be turned on, and the iron keeps clicking without making any heat.

The cause of the problem can be a defective solenoid, a broken contact, or an open thermistor (it will turn the solenoid back on). The oven must be taken apart and tested to find the fault.

Regards.

Won't steam

I know it's a silly question but are you pressing the trigger in the handle? If you are then the solenoid valve may have failed

Morphy richards steam generator model 42271

is there a noise when u press the trigger? if not there is sometimes a reset button on the front of the base. failing that the problem may well be the solenoid which opens to let the water into the steaming tank which is repairable but can be awkward.

Water and iron heats up but no steam comes out.

there is most likely a small port where some particles have clogged...fill reservoir with vinegar and water (50/50) and allow to soak 24 hrs, then reheat then shake vigorously to drain then rinse then retry
