In general, normal electricity is supplied by utility companies. When the main power supply stops, we can switch the 60KVA diesel generator set manually or automatically to the field application. The main task of the switching switch is to switch the power from the power grid to the backup power supply. The diesel generator manufacturer will explain how to operate the automatic switch through the control panel.

A switching switch control panel system makes the unit more automatic. Manual switching switches are operated and used by field personnel when backup power needs to be immediately restored. An automatic switching switch, can immediately detect power failure, can make the generator work automatically. The job of the control panel is to detect power outages and start programs to start new or old generators. Once the new or old generator reaches the correct voltage and frequency, the switch that controls the system signal shifts from the usual power to the generator. Although the principle of automatic switch is very complicated, it plays an important role in the automatic operation of generator. https://www.dieselgeneratortech.com/cummins/cummins-82gf.html

My YG650DE Yamaha gen runs good but there is no electric power is there a reset switch or some other fix?

Here is some reasons for reference:
1.After the diesel generator is stopped, the residual magnetism is often lost, because the material used for the magnetic pole of the exciter is close to the soft steel, and the residual magnetism is small. After the shutdown, when there is no current in the excitation winding, the magnetic field will disappear.
2.The magnetic pole of the diesel generator loses its magnetic properties.
3.Damage of excitation circuit components or circuit breakage, short circuit or grounding phenomena.
4.The exciter brush is not in good contact with the commutator and pressure of brush holder is insufficient.
5.Excitation winding wiring error, opposite polarity.
6.Stator winding and rotor winding of generator set open circuit.
7.Poor contact between diesel generator brush and slip ring, or insufficient brush pressure.
8.Diesel generator lead wire wiring is loose or switch contact is poor.
9.The fuse box is fused.
10.The "auto-manual-de-excitation" switch on the control panel is in the de-excitation position (automatic generator set has "auto-manual-de-excitation" switch).
11.The voltmeter is damaged.
12.Rotary rectifier module is damaged.

Why doesn't it start?

gen sets have to be run at set rpms so that the voltage and cycles are correct for the applications
with the rpms as little as 100 rpms below requirement , the voltage will be down , causing a brown out which burns out electric motors and if the rpms are low the required cycles will also be off which affects electronic equipment
service the gen set and find out why the rpms are not at the set level

What size generator do I need to run a 10 hp motor

on the plate attached to the motor you will find several important items
one is the wattage of the motor
this is the maximum wattage that the motor uses when under load
the gen set will need to be at least 30% bigger than that figure
next there will the number of phases that the motor is
it will read as 1 ph or 3ph
If it is 1ph that is a single phase motor and will ru from a single phase gen set
however if it is 3ph you will need a 3ph gen set to run the motor
As most single phase motors are limited to around 5hp I would be very sure that the motor is not 3ph
specialist advice from an accredited electrician or electrical motor shop is recommended before buying a gen set. as if you need 3ph the gen sets become expensive.

I have a diesel generator thats mounted in the bed of my truck, it was working fine but one day I went to press the switch to turn it on and nothing happened im assuming its an electical issue and wouldnt...

The switches are probably wired in series. Check the line side of the switch. If you have voltage there and never on the T side of the switch no matter what position you have the switch, the switch is bad. Replace the switch.

My 60kva deutz diesel generator trying to run down when i put it on load,in which it has been carring same load before

It is suggested you to run your Deutz diesel generator according to users' manual, thus, it can help prolong the service life longer and less problems occur during the use of the generator. About Deutz diesel generator operation requirements and procedures, please refer the following article: https://www.dieselgeneratortech.com/diesel-engines/Deutz-Engine-Operating-Requirement-and-Procedures.html

Gen starts then shuts down

Check rotor skip rings for cleanliness, rotor brushes. Stator resistance, rotor resistance. If ok then change control board

Can you help me? I have generator yamaha ef 2600. Generator normally running about 3 minutes then rpm comes unsteady and gen stops. Moreover at load 2kW gen immediatly works unsteady and stops. Without...

As you describe the problem, the reason is unstable load handling.
This means that the fuel or air is not enough.

When begin to be unsteady:
  1. If smoke comes out of muffler - the input air is not sufficient. Try to clean or change air filter (cleaner).
  2. If no smoke, the fuel is not enough. The reason may be the mechanical governor, or the fuel supply to it, fuel filter/strainer etc.
