The power cord looks like this is a standard PC/Kettle power cord. Otherwise the connecting cables should be just standard phone cables. have a look at the image here..

Try a fully wired 21 pin scart lead (different one) if that fails clean camcorder heads with fluid head cleaner, if that fails I'm afraid expensive camcorder repair. PBK
To my understanding, your new Lite-On LH-20A1L 20x Super AllWrite DVD±RW/RAM is a SATA whereas your Dell Dimension 1100 has only DMA/ATA-100 (Ultra) EIDE. it will not work nor the connectors fit.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
With used plug wires the length and shape of the wires should provide a clue. Engines using a coil pack usually use the wasted spark system where two cylinders at a time spark together so with a 4 cylinder engine with the usual 1,3,4,2, firing order, numbers 1 and 3 and 2 and 4 would be paired to spark together. When one cylinder of the pair is starting on the power stroke the other is on the exhaust stroke.
An ohm meter can quickly identify the pairs of coils in the coil pack...
In the absence of accurate information then fitting the leads almost at random plus a little common sense provides a limited number of possibilities. If one way doesn't work then try a different combination - attempting to start with the leads on wrong generally causes no damage...
the ports may be different for r12 gas but will be different for r312 gas which runs at a higher pressure , cannot be mixed and the connects are different so that the incorrect gauges cannot be fitted and so explode in operation
it costs nothing to talk wit an ac shop to get it right
Yellow for memory.
Red for power acc.
Black for ground.
Blue for remote turn on(amps and accessories).
Gray pair is for right front speakers, solid for positive, striped for negative.
White pair for Left front, again solid is pos, striped is neg.
Violet or purple for right rear, same with solid or striped.
Green pair for left rear, same solid/stripe configuration.
all batteries are clamped into place by one means or another.remove battery cables.remove plastic cover,if equipped.at bottom of battery, locate plastic clamp or 'wedge' with a single small bolt through the center, holding it to the bottom of the battery box.remove bolt & clamp.connect + cable first, then - when reinstalling.
I will assume that none of those wires are marked, thus leaving you with the cumbersome task of tracing each wire to its place of origin and properly marking them.
I will also assume that you have a standard hardware configuration whereas the in-dash head unit serves as an input selector and pre-amp for your aux.CD/DVD unit.
A possible shortcut would be to first identify the two power leads( one is a constant 12+ volts & one is a switched 12+ volts that is a remote power lead from the head unit) and the ground that was ran to the missing amp, mark and separate those from the group. Then with a test speaker trial and error those remaining signal (speaker) wires with the in-dash CD player on and loaded so as to find that units signal outputs (there may be more then one pair) You will need to identify left and right output signal pairs by adjusting the head units L & R control and marking those wires accordingly. Next with a pair of signal leads with output, temporarily connect them to all of the other unidentified signal pairs as to determine its speaker and marking them accordingly. At this point you should be able to make your left and right speaker connections.
Note: it will be wise to have a DC voltage tester to check for the missing amp power leads and signal polarity especially if you plan to install a new amp.
If it looks identical then you may have the wrong line. Take the one you bought (I assume online) and the injured line to a parts store if available, or if you have the part number try to look it up online some sites have detailed pics of parts. If ends of lines are different you may have taken an adapter off that should not be off check old line to new. If it just a power steering line it should be no problem just to change the line. I suspect you may have received the wrong line.
