How i can get myusername and password

Most Actiontec Modems and Routers DO NOT have a default login. The exceptions are the Actiontec Modems and Routers made and branded for a specific Internet Service Providers (ISP). Some ISP's require a default user name and password. These Modems and Routers have a sticker on the bottom of the device with the default User name and Password printed on them.

Can I connect a GT704WG to a COMCAST SciAlt modem and have wireless

No. The uplink for the Actiontec is the DSL port. You would be better off purchasing a router from a retailer instead of a gateway modem/router combo like the Actiontec

Will comcast support Actiontec - ADSL Modem with 802.11g Wireless Router and 4-Port Ethernet Switch

Comcast will not support that kind of modem. Comcast is a Cable ISP thus the ADSL modem won't work with them because ADSL modem is for DSL providers. Cable Company uses different protocol than DSL. But Comcast will provide you the cable modem if you subscribe to them.

I have the actiontec gt704wg dsl modem that I got from Qwest. The last few months I often lose my internet connection. The only way I get it back is by turning the modem off for a few seconds and then...

It sounds like a firmware issue or problem. Have you tried updating the firmware of the router? If not, download the latest firmware from actiontec website and install it to your router. Note: After successfully updating the firmware, you need to hard reset the router. Press the reset button at the back of the router for 30 second then unplug the power for 30 seconds as well then plug it back n.

I have AT&T DSL and want to install an Actiontec 54 mbps wireless

If the modem was pre-programmed for another service, such as Verizon, you will have to plug the modem into a wall and hold in the reset button on the back of the modem until it resets. Then load the AT&T software IF they provided you with such - the walkthrough is actually pretty good. If AT&T did not provide you the Actiontec or the software, you will have to go to Actiontec's website and download the Actiontec Installation Buddy and also follow the directions for downloading the non-proprietary version of the firmware (WARNING: do not update the player's firmware if ATT &T provided you with the Actiontec; the non-proprietary firmware will make the modem useless toward whichever service provided you with the Actiontec). Take note of the numbers taped on a sticker underneath your Actiontec - MAC Address, etc. You may need this information to complete the installation. Also, download the Actiontec manual - it will take you through the process, but it is not going to be easy to follow - know in advance that it is going to take time.

As you go through the Actiontec Installation Buddy process, it will prompt you to do a modem test - make sure the Actiontec is connected to the phone line and to your computer (via an Ethernet cable). It will do a modem test. If the modem test fails the first time, turn the Actiontec OFF, wait 10 seconds, and turn it on again. Try the modem test again - should work.

If AT&T did NOT provide you with the Actiontec, your task is going to be a bit tricky. If AT&T DID provide you with the Actiontec, it might be better to call their technical support for a walkthrough.

Good luck!
