Like most Samsung electronics, the software is the pits, yet the hardware is generally quite good.
If the Samsung YP-K3 MP3 player continues to act erratically, a reboot, or reset, may help. Resetting this device allows you to reinitialize your player without losing your files or device settings.
The Reset hole is on the back of the device, toward the bottom. Press one end of a straightened paper clip into the Reset hole gently. Then allow the Samsung YP-K3 MP3 player to initialize.
You may want to upgrade and if you have, this may be why the files were reset.

My mp3 player cannot connect with the pc

Possible that the player has encountered problems with corrrupt files and so has hung up.
it will be good to reset the player but you can connect the player to your PC to check the files on the memory. Scan the files and see if there are faulty files , if so remove/copy to a marked folder and format the memory. Then you can copy back only approved files back to the player.

How do i transfer music from my pc to my samsung gt19000

  • Turn on your computer. Connect your Samsung MP3 player to your PC via the USB cord. Power on your Samsung MP3 Player.

Click on "Open folder to view files" when it pops up or click on my computer and select the Samsung "drive."

  • Transfer music. A folder will appear containing all music files on your Samsung Player. Click and drag any music files from your computer to this folder to add them to your MP3 player.

  • Wait until the transfer is finished to disconnect your Samsung MP3 Player.

When i was playing my samsung yp-k3 player it was ok but when i turned it off all of the files where gone...but when i connect it on the computer it shows that there are still files in my mp3 player

I have own both a YP-T10 and YP-S5 samsung MP3 players and have experienced this myself, (1) First I checked what format my music was in and also where it is located on my MP3. (2) Then I tried resetting it, You can do this by pressing the rest button on the back, Its a small hole only big enough to fit a needle or a pin into it. It won't delete any files, Only reset the player. Then plug it back into your comp, if the files show in 'My Computer' and 'EmoDio/Samsung Media Studio' they should work fine in your MP3 player again:) Otherwise you might have to back it up and format the player but try the first 2 steps first.

Suddenly, my YP-K3 Samsung music player is not turning on. I've tried to do a hard reset on this. Like, keeping the reset button on hold for 30 seconds but still, it won't work. I tried to reset it for so...

You may need to upgrade the firmware to fix it so try this. To Upgrade Firmware 1 Connect to http://www.samsung.com, select [SUPPORT] [DOWNLOAD CENTER] and then select your player. Future upgrades may be available for this player to enhance performance and compatibility. 2 When the player page appears, select [Firmware] below the model name to download the latest firmware. 3 Uncompress the downloaded file onto your Desktop. The uncompressed files will be displayed. 4 Connect the player to your PC with the USB cable. 5 Right click on the Start button on the bottom left of your PC's screen, then choose Explore to Open Windows Explorer on your PC. [Samsung YP-K3] is displayed in Windows explorer. Hope this helps.

I have a samsung yp-z5f but i can't get in menu and it keeps freezeing.i reseted it but sill nothing.can you help?

A firmware upgrade may solve the issue. To upgrade firmware follow these steps:

  1. Download the firmware file from the Samsung Download Center by clicking here.
  2. Remember to save the file to your desktop or documents.
  3. Uncompress the downloaded file in a folder (use winrar or winzip). DATA file will be displayed.
  4. Connect the player to your PC with the USB cable.
  5. Right click on the Start button, and then left click Explore to open Windows Explorer on your PC. [Samsung YP-Z5] is displayed in Windows Explorer.
  6. Select the uncompressed files and drag-and-drop it into the Samsung YP-Z5 Data folder.
  7. Disconnect the YP-Z5 from your PC. After disconnecting the USB Cable, the upgrade screen appears.
  8. Select [Upgrade] to upgrade firmware.
Try it and see.

WAS CHARGIN MY SAMSUNG YP-P2 I TURNED IT ON ALL MY FILES HAVE DISAPPEARED AND I DIDNT PRESS RESET SO HOW DO I GET EVERYTHING BACK

Try resetting the player while it's connected to the PC.

If the files are not back, you have to transfer them again from your PC back to the player, assuming these are backed up. There's no way to "retrieve" these files on the player itself.

My samsung mp3 player is frozen on. It won't let me do anything, including turn it off. If I press the reset button will that erase everything on it? Anyone know how to fix this??

Reset the unit by holding down the REST button until the unit shuts off by itself.

Resetting the unit will not delete files off of the player
