I have a kitchenaid stand mixer which kept slowing down and finally wont start at all.i replaced the bushes but still it wont start help!

Hi CHESTERMALPA, I hate it when that happens. It seems that power is not getting to the armature from the brushes so I would suspect that one or both of the brushes is (are) not seated properly. I'd suggest removing them again and making sure the contacts are facing in the right direction to contact the armature’s commutator. The concave contact face should be resting completely on the commutator. If you've turned it 90 degrees too much, it won’t' seat properly and the motor doesn’t get any juice.
Good luck, I hope this helps. Howard, Burke, VA\

Took apart, pull magnets from sides, now the thing

ECARRERO2004 - Those 'magnets' you removed from the sides of your mixer are the electric motor brushes that provide power to the commutator/armature assembly so your motor runs. Did you remove the brushes to replace them or were you just inspecting them? I'd suggest removing them again and making sure the contacts are facing in the right direction to contact the commutaor. The concave contact face should be resting completely on the comutator. If you've turned it 90 degrees too much, it wont' seat properly and you'll get no 'juice' to the electric motor so it won't start. I hope this helps - Howard, Burke, VA

Black Residue on meat using Kitchenaid meat grinder attachment

This is a common issue with the Kitchenaid food grinder. The black residue is a product of the meat itself.

With Kitchenaid Food Grinder Attachments, it is recommended that the meat be partially frozen before grinding. This is to ensure a quality grind and to make sure the meat holds all its juices while grinding.

If any juices from the meat are leaked into the food grinder, the friction will cause a chemical reaction and turn the juice from the meat into a black substance.

Kenwood mixer running too fast

It's a problem with tachogenerator. You can buy this part pretty cheap and replacing is not that hard. (It's the gears under the blender/juice maker attachment) Basically while spinning it measures the speed and sends it back to motherboard to calculate how to adjust speed so it matches the setting. Replacing should help if it's broken. Although might be worth a try too just clean it. If some dirt or liquid got inside I might disturb the mechanism and cause problems. In my case just cleaning fixed the situation drastically.
