No Image on PL4260N HP Plasma Tv

Hi My name is Humberto. I have for the second time lost image on my HP 42” Plasma TV. The first time it was under warranty, now it is not. Looking for possible solutions; since so far the only option available is to buy HP’s warranty for $629.00

My experience with my 42" HP Plasma TV has been very disapointing to say the least. I have for the second time lost image on my HP 42? Plasma TV. The first time it was under warranty, It broke down right after I bought it, now it is not. Looking for possible solutions; I called HP and the only option available is to buy HP's warranty for $629.00 for 90 days, three tech visists and does not guarranty the problem will be fixed. On top of that if the TV goes bad again I will have to pay the same amount if it hapens beyond the 90 days.

Many LED TVs and other electronics have bad capacitors on their power supply boards. You can visually inspect them by opening the TV and looking for capacitors with bulging tops. If tou see any, replace them all in the power board section. Check to see if your TV is still under warranty first though.

If your TV is plasma the only part you need to replace or check is y sustain board..You should replace it to work fine again

Try to unplug the cable and the TV for about 1-2 minutes. Then plug it in. Turn on the cable first, wait til its on then turn on the TV. it should work.

When i turn the tv on the picture is kind of fuzzy and snowy for a few minutes until it warms up. also during that time the image flashes. the tv is about 4 or 5 years old

problem with your display it going to be dead

When I power up I hear a clicking sound. Goes into stand-by mode

I am having the same problem. It happened today for the first time. This morning the TV was working, now, in the afternoon, I tried to turn it on and I get no image. I can't even access the Menu, therefore I have to stick with the HDMI connection, eventhough it would have been a good idea to try other inputs.

HP PL4260N source list entries are all "Cable"

Video board is most likely damaged from a electrical spike, you may try looking at the capacitors on the boards inside the tv and see if they are damaged capacitors are an easy solution to problems some of the time.

The problem is the "Y-SUS" board. It is inside the set on the left side with several aluminum heat sinks, under the left side brace bar. You can order this board from Union Electronics at www.ued.com .Search for part number: TNPA3243AB-PA

It lists for about 115$

Here's the number to HP case management 877-917-4380 ext.79, try this number and be firm that they need to fix this, I just had an HP plasma that was 3 yrs old replaced for free, no charge. Good luck
