SOURCE: What electric voltage plug do I use for KitchenAid 32" cooktop

I would use the 220volt 60amp available at any hardware store. Just make sure you check the wall outlet you are going to use. The Dryer and Range are not the same.

SOURCE: ELEMENT WONT SHUT OFF

Sounds like that specific element has shorted to ground inside it's sheath. You'll probably find the element does not get as hot as it normally would.
A fuse will not blow, or breaker not throw, because of the point in the element that the element has grounded.

Elements are available from a number of resources.

A way to test if the element is shorted to ground:

Tools needed -

Ohmeter

1)Disconnect power from the appliance
2) Remove the element (Sometimes they are plugged in, sometimes the wires screw onto the ends of the element.
3) Set the Ohmeter to Rx1000 or more.
4) Measure the resistance between the outside metal sheath, and either of the two power connection points on either end of the element. Under any condition, you should not get a reading. If you do, the element is bad, and you need to get a new one. They are not repairable.
5) Re-install in the reverse removed.
6) Check all connections are clean and all is re-assembled as you originally found it.
7) Turn on power and check if element comes on.

It is unlikely the problem is with the control, but it is a possibility. Give me more info about the cook-top (make, model) so I can investigate further.

You should make sure the range matches the correct gas, if you have to change orifice you must get the correct ones from manufacture do not use any other orifice

The circuit breaker for out kitchenaid glass

Water probably did get into the switch(es). The best bet for a fast fix is to pull the knobs off and use an air can (like for blowing dust out electronics) to blow down into the holes. This will dry out any water in there and should allow you to use it again. To be extra sure, blow out the switches and leave the knobs off over night. In the morning the knobs can be replaced and the cook top should be good to use. Hope this helps!

I was cooking popcorn on my glass cooktop and the pan appears to have scratched to surface.

You may have melted the bottom of the pan you were using into the glass. Copper bottom and alum pans sholdnot be used at high temps on a glass top. (never use porclin or glass pots)High temps can etch(mark or discolor) the glass.

Kitchenaid 36" glass cooktop with small crack

A small crack, turns into a big crack, Short of ordering a new piece of glass, there is no "fix" sorry. YOu can continue to use it, but eventually it will run across the cook top, and then shatter the glass... Better be safe than sorry.
