Beeping sound when calling - Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

It is called a stutter dial tone and usually means that you have messages on you voice mail.... But its is sounding like a motor boat, and sounds like your in a tunnel while talking. You may need to call your local repair. Could be a bad line card.. as long as its happening on all your phones..

This might be being caused by a facility called call waiting
When you are on the phone during a call if someone else rings you will get a beep beep sound to inform you that there is another call coming into your phone.

u should be using a call recording software. turn it off. or ur partner should be using a call recording software.

Recording a phone conversation without the knowledge and consent of both parties is generally illegal.
The beep is there to let the other party that the conversation is being recorded.

It sounds like the handset is not 'registered' to the base station/cradle. Solution may be in the user handbook, which you should be able to download at :

try reflashing the phone to correct the issue

How do you disable this feature? To stop the crazy beep, beep, it's becoming annoying-"Sounds like someone's tapping into the phone.

if you use phone without headset do you hear beeping?

it is nothing to set, master reset the phone, tha shouls correct the issue

It is hard to tell if this conference phone is installed on a PBX or not? "At meetings" tends to make me believe that it is. Beeping can come from a few sources. If a call is being recorded it is necessary to provide a beep tone so that the parties on the line know that they are being recorded. This is a FCC requirement. You can ask the other party if they are recording the call. Beeping can come from call waiting. It is recommended to turn call waiting off unless you are bridging incoming calls. If a call is on hold you will get a beeping tone. You can check by pressing the flash button and see if there is a second call. If so hangup and your original call should return normally.
