How to winterize a 600 e-tec 2012 ski doo expedition

Manual says press high/low beam switch rapidly but what they don't say is, which is very important, don't press it so much that it clicks.
As in don't let the hi/lo beam switch click like it normally does when switching from hi to low?

I just fogged both of my etecs for the first time half an hour ago. I clicked the hi/low beam switch all the way rapidly and the "PUSH S" message never showed up. So I went back and switched it VERY RAPIDLY while holding the "S" button and it worked. As soon as "PUSH S" showed up on the display, I pushed the "S" button down until the "OIL" message popped up and it fogged and shut down on que.

I friend of mine said he could never get his etec to self-fog. I think he wasn't pushing the hi/lo beam switch enough for it to engage.
