psn is either down or updating.No gameplay whatsoever will not work and trying to play will result in losing that games trophies.Just hang in there.

its broke. take back to store. likely issue with graphic processor overheated one too many times. PS3's are best run in small cramped wooden enclosures that dont allow air in. err no thats not right.... that kills them.

sounds like a laser problem....when they start to go bad they will freeze up during gameplay or during a movie.

ps3 games are not supose 2 play ps2 games

Sounds like a problem with your blu-ray drive.

Try playing a blu-ray movie and a dvd.

This is a common problem that can be one or two reasons. One is that your PS3 is overheating during gameplay and is shutting down or freezing.
