SOURCE: MY ROWENTA 1550W UPRIGHT STEAMER NO LONGER

I have a Rowenta garment steamer. It will turn on but no steam comes out. Does it need to be cleaned from the build up of iron, etc. from the water? If so, how do I go about this?

My Rowenta valet steamer 1550W trips my electricity every time I plug it in.

RCD or MCB that is tripping?

If MCB the iron is overloading the circuit, usually a short circuit and is often related to the power cord.

If RCD power is escaping from the circuit to ground and is usually caused by an internal water leak.

I HAVE A ROWENTA 1550W AND THE WIRE IS SHORTED, I WAS WONDERING WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO FIX THIS, AS IT IS EXACTLY WHERE THE WIRING COMES OUT OF THE STEAMER... PLEASE HELP.

there is a reason for the wire shorting at that point
could be a dead short that caused the wire to burn or other serious problem
best advice is to take it to an appliance repair shop for a diagnosis and quote or to be safe simply junk it and get a new one

How can I get my steamer to work again? Orange light comes on but nothing else

Make sure you didn't knock off a wire to the heating element when you had it open. Also put a couple of cups of whitevinnegar in it and leave it for an hour or two. This will dissolve the scale build up. If it doesn't get hot thenthe element is probably burned out. There is a limit switch held against the tank too. It can stop the heating element if it goes bad.
