Yes, but you have to understand that if it needs recharged, it has a leak and must be found, repaired, evacuated then properly recharged. Most compact reefers only hold a few ounces of refrigerant, so it does not take much of a leak to affect its ability to cool....Your issue could be something other than refrigerant if its just not cooling.

Have the same freezer bought the warrenty glad I did services tech said that he knew the porblem before he came to fix it compressor locked up at 7.9 amps he said this is an issues with 99.9 percent of this model. Light was on flashing but food would not freeze. Sears will replace for me they are giving me a diffrent model number. I had no power surge or nothing of that manner. Faulty appliance. A recall has'nt been issued... but it should

make sure the outlet has power. maybe plug a lamp or something into the outlet and see if it works. you may have tripped a breaker

first,have you defrosted the frzr recently?they must be defrosted manually. take the 2 screws holding the side panel on and see if you hear the compressor humming/running. if you do. then the problem is in the sealed syetem. they should to come w/a 5yr. parts & labor warrenty but it looks like your frzr was build in the 1990's...

tip: if you think it's your cold control.you could unplug unit and use a wire,jump out the cold control.

look inside ice bin to see if auger wheel is broke,sometimes the plastic wheel cut and break,hope this helps-mike
