Water on floor .....My Frigidaire gallery series side by side fridge accumulates ice on the inside bottom of the freezer and water on the bottom , inside of fridge side almost daily to the point that it leaves a puddle on the floor when either door is opened.....had the defrost timer changed 6 mnths ago but the problem still exists.

Do you have ice at the back of the freezer section. If you do defrost the unit and see if this makes a difference to the performance. If it behaves you probably have a defrost heater or defrost thermostat fault. If it fails to pull down you possibly have a fan motor gone or a problem with the defrost circuit. I would suggest if it behaves monitor closely and if it fails contact a good fridge guy who should be able to diagnose which fault it is. Hope this is of some help.

If you never hear fan running in freezer, this could be the case. How old is this unit? Newer ones have a electronic defrost board. Older ones have a mechanical defrost timer.
If the fan in the freezer is on, and not getting cold...could be a compressor, or the relay/overload on the compressor. You'll need to check for voltage at the 2 wires at compressor. Should have about 110 volts when the freezer fan is on. If you have 110, Unplug unit and remove relay/ overload from compressor and shake it. If it rattles, you probably need the relay/overload. If this unit is only a few years old, it may be a compressor. We see these fail on these. Does it make a load hum for less than a minute followed by a click. And then after a bit, does it again. This is usually a bad compressor.

More likely, the defrost system has failed.
There are three components: Defrost timer, a defrost heater, and a defrost bi-metal.
The timer can be located either in the food compartment, on the rear of the unit, or behind the kickplate. The heater and bi-metal are located behind the freezer rear wall (or freezer floor, depending on design). It's easiest to unplug the fridge overnight, with the freezer door open, to melt all the ice that has developed. PRIOR to doing all this, please ensure that there IS ice forming on the wall of floor of the freezer! Let me know. I hope this helps!

you will need to [possibly replace the solinoid valves on the backdside of the refrigerator

Yes the drain is clogged and the water that supouse to go through became ice so it make it worse.Put hot water in the drain hole until it runs through,it'll go to an evaporative pan on top of the compresor to keep it warm and vaporize the water.
