Someone gave me a pressure washer and ask if I can get it working. Thought it was a fuse but it's not. When turned on it hums but it doesn't start. If left on then it trips the circuit breaker. Any help would be appreciated.
The motor is frozen and the humming is sign of it. The circuit breaker trips when the non spinning motor overheats and draws too much current. You could also try soaking the piston assembly with WD 40 for a few days and then attempt to loosen it
Guess is that someone started it without water...and seized the piston. You can try spraying silicon spray into the water intake (lots of it) and then see if that frees the piston. You can start it for a moment without water after spraying silicon into the intake. The alternate ( not recommented) is to open the pump housing and spraying directly into the piston to free it up.... Good luck.
