How do I get to the recovery partion or system restore without the disc
Dear Lizanne,
To get to the recovery partition on your Compaq Armada M700, turn on the notebook and press F11 repeatedly until "Windows is loading files..." displays on the screen. Then, follow the on-screen instructions.
If your notebook originally came with Windows XP or an earlier version of Windows, try pressing F10 to enter recovery instead of F11.
Hope you may find these instructions useful!
Best regards,

It's usually caused by the Voltage-Regulator sub-board that is faulty M700/M300 - same problem. If the VR sub-board is replaced and problem still exists, mobo is faulty.

Hello Blessie,
This is Romeet,i shall try and help you with this problem. Before formatting for a new installation of w2k, did you delete your partitions and create a new partition or did you just overwrite the old installation partition?Besides i hope you did a backup of your data before any of above processes in the event you might need it later on? Please let me know about the partitioning and i shall try and help further accordingly as most likely it looks like a Disk Partitioning Misconfiguration / Problem
