I put a pair of shoe in the dryer and they did dry but after it stopped I no counger could run start they dryer. The front control panel still lights up and you can adjust the settings but it will not turn on. Any suggestions?
It sounds like the problem may be with the door lock. Having shoes bouncing around in the dryer they are bound to hit the door over and over possible causing damage to the lock. Try pushing on the door and holding it shut while you turn on the unit and see if it works.

Check spring tab behind door switch-if it's bent/out of adjustment, circuit will act like door is always open.
To confirm this, open door, set dryer to active setting, and hold in door switch; if it comes on, then it's either the spring tab, or the switch is malfunctioning

ck recalls on this issue.
there may be one.
under warranty??
do not buy samsung they are notorious for having problems.
sounds like the heating element and relay may have went out.
however if it does not start up at all it could be the motor itself.
