SOURCE: tring to take the pump face off the motor
You have to remove the back cover from the motor. Next loosen the capacitor. Put a 7/16" wrench on the shaft and the pump impeller will screw off by hand.

Lock the shaft at the end where you electrical connections are made (disconnected of course!) and spin it off counterclockwise.

Don't touch the bolts, they are for removing the motor and the last thing then.
Remove the bolt on the clamp then pry out on the edge of it. Their are three sections and you will pop them off one at a time.
Once inside their five screws holding the difuser in place pull those and your at the impeller.

Pump motors used in most pool aplications can not be reversed. Changing the wires on the capacitor or reversing the line connections will not change the motor rotation. A failed capacitor can, from time to time, let a motor start "backwards" but it will not happen often if even at all. You might need to take the motor to a local electric
motor repair shop for an inspection.

HI THERE , YA GOT THE BEST PUMP ! HAVE YOU HAD TRASH IN THE POOL ? THIS CAN MAKE ITS WAY TO THE PUMP AND PLUG THE IMPELLER , COULD BE SHAFT SEAL , THERE GOOD FOR 3-5 YEARS. UNLESS YOU HAVE STARVED THE PUMP FOR WATER,THIS KILLS A SHAFT SEAL.. TRY PRIMMING THE PUMP AGAIN.
